Dialogues of Matter: From Flemish Painting to Ceramic Creation
The Museum is pleased to announce a summer workshop dedicated to the formal and conceptual exploration of the jars shown in Flemish paintings from its collection. This initiative proposes a direct link between the museum's collections and creative practice, offering participants a unique opportunity for learning and experimentation.
Program
Collection Analysis: Iconographic study of the jars represented in the Flemish works in the collection.
Technical Development: Introduction to modeling techniques and treatment of ceramic surfaces.
Individual Creation: Conception and execution of a unique and personalized three-dimensional piece.
Heritage Enhancement: Promoting a dynamic dialogue between the public and museum heritage.
This activity provides a unique opportunity to develop artistic skills and create an original work inspired by exceptional historical references. Given the practical and personalized nature of the workshop, places are limited and prior registration is mandatory.

MASF offers children a ceramics workshop entitled “From Painting to Hands: I Make My Jar.”
Dedicated to the formal and conceptual exploration of the jars depicted in Flemish paintings in its collection, this initiative proposes a direct link between the museum's collections and creative practice, offering participants a unique opportunity for learning and experimentation.
In this context, this activity for children consists, in a first phase, of visiting the jars represented in the Flemish works in the collection and, in a second practical part, in learning the basic techniques of clay modeling, for the creation of a small ceramic jar/vase.
