"Flower Containers" Workshop - Spring Cycle
Continuing the Spring Cycle program at MASF, the Museum, together with the plastic artist Flor Fernandes, promoted a ceramics workshop where the basic techniques for making a vase were explored. The first part of the workshop (May 5th) was dedicated to modeling and in the second (May 12th) the pieces were decorated using the engobe painting technique.

Born in Venezuela in April 1980, daughter of Madeiran parents, she has lived on the island since she was 12 years old. Graduated in fine arts from the University of Madeira in 2003, she taught for 14 years at a private school, but in 2018 she decided to pursue a career as a ceramist and created the brand "Artes da Flor" along with her page on social networks, making herself known and your parts.
2023 marks the 5th anniversary of this journey full of challenges and lessons learned, projects and partnerships that it has carried out and developed with various entities.
In 2021 it was part of the 1st group of regional brands to participate in the Funchal Chamber initiative-the nursery of stores-for 9 months.
She held several ceramic initiation workshops with adults and children in different places, such as the Artesanato Madeira store (IVBAM.
Recently, she created a project with 27 volunteers, culminating in the charity auction to raise funds for the institution Make-a-wish Portugal.
