Religious Sculpture - Dr. Frederico de Freitas Collection
1984
Exhibition commissioned by Dr. Paulo de Freitas and Luiza Clode, who selected significant Portuguese and foreign sculptures from the collection of Dr. Frederico de Freitas, who had donated his collections to the Autonomous Region of Madeira in 1978. The Frederico de Freitas House-Museum would only open to the public in 1989.

The exhibition was organized by thematic areas, such as the European imagery and the Luso-Oriental production. Some pieces of period furniture from Frederico de Freitas' collection were integrated into the exhibition.
An exhibition guide was produced, with an introductory text by Luiza Clode, subdivided into two sections: Characterizing sculpture from the medieval to the baroque times and The Luso-Oriental imagery.
